Exeter, Devon Bollards...

Pith hat top...

We are in Exeter, Devon in the West Country  and we have to two excellent examples of modern/ornate street furniture/bollards provided by @CDSHarding on the twitter.

The bollard (above) is very similar to a bollard I found outside the back of the London Landmark Hotel in Marylebone. The top of this ornate slender bollard looks like a pith hat or has I stated on the Bollards of London blog/site a 'nipple' top.

If we take a look at the bollard (below) I think you'll agree this is a completely different design not has ornate in fact you could say a more contemporary look with the three ridges on the body/column of the bollard all of a very different shape/size. The top is also very different and looks more like the end of a cotton bud.

I must say these you have all been fantastic with sending pictures/photographs of bollards from around Britain and this particular blog/site really does rely totally upon you all so once again a huge thank you to all of you so far who have sent me pictures and in time each and everyone of them will appear here or at Bollards of London and who knows maybe both blogs/sites.
